The Archbishop and Primate of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan, Justin Badi Arama, consecrated bishops in Lakes State and Western Equatoria State on Sunday.

Rev. Isaac Matur Bol Yuol will serve as the bishop of the Diocese of Pachong in Lakes State, whereas Rev. Emmanuel William Ramadan Manase will serve as suffragan bishop of the area diocese of Nadiangere under the Diocese of Yambio.

Rev. Isaac Matur Bol Yuol replaces retired Bishop Joseph Maker Atot as the second bishop of the Diocese of Pachong.

While addressing the congregation, the Primate and Metropolitan Archbishop of the Diocese of Juba, Justin Badi Arama, stated that the Episcopal Church of South Sudan is growing.

“Here in the Episcopal Church of South Sudan, today is a day the church consecrates and sends forth bishops—one to the Diocese of Pachong in Eastern Bahr El Ghazel as diocesan bishop and another to the Diocese of Nadiangere in Yambio,” said Arama.

“The consecration of the two bishops means a lot; it means adding new energy to the ministry of the church and also signifies the continuity of the gospel proclamation in most parts of South Sudan,” he said.
