"We Dare where others fear"

President Salva Kiir Mayardit on Monday sacked the governor of Central Equatoria State, Gen. Augustino Jaddallah Kamilo Wani.
In a decree read on the state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC), Kiir appointed Gen. Rabi Mujung Emmanuel as the new governor of Central Equatoria State.
In another decree, President Kiir dismissed two undersecretaries from the Ministries of Trade and Water and Irrigation.
No reasons were given for the dismissals.
The peace deal gives the president the prerogative to appoint and dismiss government officials at both the national and state levels.
He can only appoint and dismiss officials from other political parties with the consent of the leadership of those parties.
