The Ministry of General Education and Instruction will release the 2024 Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE) examination results in three weeks, following a six-month delay in marking the examination papers.
On Monday, the National Examination Council began marking the 2024 CSE examination scripts, approximately six months after the examinations concluded in December 2024.
Kuyok Abol Kuyok, the Minister of General Education and Instruction, informed the South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) on Thursday that the results for the 2024 CSE will be available within three weeks.
“The marking process will be completed within three weeks. We urge parents and particularly the students to be aware that the CSE results will be released within this timeframe,” said Kuyok while overseeing the marking exercise in Juba.
On June 25, 2025, Kuyok described the situation that led to the six-month delay in marking the 2024 CSE as a “delay caused by a liquidity crisis.”
Several students who sat for the 2024 CSE expressed frustration over the lack of results, noting that this delay could disrupt the academic calendar and university admissions.
The 2024 CSE examination was taken by a total of 48,484 students, including 19,933 females, and was conducted between December 2 and December 11, 2024, in 525 schools across South Sudan.
