"We Dare where others fear"

In a heartfelt message, Her Excellency Mama Ayen Mayardit has called on all South Sudanese to unite in solidarity.
She emphasised the importance of national cohesion as a foundation for lasting peace and progress in the country.
“As we embrace our rich culture and share aspirations, let us work hand in hand to build a brighter future for our beloved nation. We are stronger together, so let’s continue to support each other as we strive for peace, prosperity, and development in South Sudan,” she said upon her arrival at Juba International Airport from Nairobi on Wednesday.
The First Lady of the Republic of South Sudan, Mama Ayen Mayardit, was warmly welcomed by passionate women leaders, youth representatives, and distinguished members of women’s unions from across South Sudan. She extended warm wishes to all SPLM/SPLA veterans, women’s groups, and the entire South Sudanese community on the joyous occasion of the 14th anniversary of our Independence Day.
Her Excellency Mama Ayen Mayardit expressed her sincerest gratitude to His Excellency President Gen Salva Kiir Mayardit for his dedication and unwavering commitment to representing the nation. “A big thank you to President Gen Salva Kiir Mayardit for your representation of our nation. Let us build a brighter future together,” she added.
Achan Agoth Akiec, Special Advisor to Her Excellency Mama Ayen Mayardit, encouraged every citizen to actively embrace peace as the nation moves forward.
She stated, “In times of challenge, let us remember that unity and harmony are our greatest strengths. Together, we can create an environment where everyone flourishes.”
Hon. Achan urged everyone to embrace peace and unity, asserting that together, they can create a brighter, harmonious future for South Sudan.
On this important day, Mama Ayen Mayardit reminded people to pause and remember the brave souls who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and future of the nation.
“We owe our independence and progress to their courage and unwavering spirit,” she said, adding that we must honour their legacy by cherishing our freedom and striving to build a better future for generations to come.
She concluded by stating that together, we can ensure that their sacrifices are never forgotten.
