He acknowledged the presence of community representatives, including chiefs, youth, and women’s representatives from Twic County, and emphasised the government’s commitment to fostering peaceful coexistence and reconciliation not only in Warrap State but throughout South Sudan.

Agoth’s visit aimed to promote peace and reconciliation while calling for respect for the law in Warrap State.

He urged cattle raiders in their communities to prioritise adherence to laws and peace.

He added that with collaborative efforts, we can cultivate harmony and progress that benefits every citizen.

The paramount chief of Twic, Garang Nyuol Bol, expressed grave concerns regarding the disarming of titweng and community police by Division 11.

“This alarming situation has led to increased cattle theft and tragic loss of innocent lives within our community.”

He urged them to unite in demanding action to restore security for their citizens and livestock, emphasising that it is time to raise their voices and ensure that safety is prioritised.
