The Vice President and Chairperson of the Infrastructure Cluster, Taban Deng Gai on Tuesday, commended the Juba Auto Show Centre for its vision and efforts to create employment opportunities for young people.

Mandela Nelson, the Managing Director of Juba Auto Show, assured the Vice President that his team is dedicated to expanding their business to generate job opportunities for the youth.

Nelson stated that the ambitious project aims to establish a world-class automotive facility, particularly on the outskirts of Juba, which will serve as a source of employment and a catalyst for economic development.

“It is a business centre. We have plans to implement this vision and play our role in nation-building. There will be numerous activities, bringing services closer and creating employment opportunities for communities,” said Nelson.

Gloria John, the General Manager of Juba Auto Show, expressed gratitude to the Vice President for the opportunity to guide young people in their efforts to boost development.

John revealed that future expansion possibilities for Juba Auto Show include the development of specialised facilities for commercial vehicle services, agricultural equipment maintenance, and industrial machinery support.

Taban Deng Gai remarked that the vision set by Juba Auto Show will contribute to economic development, job creation, and an improved quality of life for the people of South Sudan.

Gai also urged commercial banks in the country to support innovative ideas presented by young South Sudanese to enhance economic growth and create employment opportunities.

“I welcome this great initiative and advise you to organise yourselves and move step by step. Whatever you have planned is achievable; bring your ideas forward and we shall guide you,” Gai stated during his meeting with the Juba Auto Show team.

The Juba Auto Show is designed with expansion capabilities that will allow for additional automobile services, increased capacity, and the incorporation of new technologies as market demand grows.
