Concern South Sudan led by first lady Mary Ayen Mayardit on Friday signed Memorandum of Understanding with RAK Media Group, that will see the two entities work together to empower youth and women in the areas of education and gender equality.
Maureen Anduro, the Client Relation and Partnership Manager at RAK Media Group, said that the agreement will see them work together with Concern South Sudan in many important areas.
She disclosed that they will be focused mainly on economic empowerment and equality in education for youth.
Anduro said they will also focus on eliminating gender based violence (GBV) affecting mostly women in the country.
She added that they will also support returnees who escaped conflict in neighboring Sudan and those returning from other neighboring countries to ensure they are integrated in society.
Dr. Paul Gal Atem, the Managing Director Concern South Sudan, said that together with RAK Media Group they will hold youth and women empowerment conference in March 2024, where they will invite humanitarian organizations and government officials.
He said that they will support women interested in doing small business to develop their careers.
