{\u200eTHEME: THOU SHALL NOT KILL (PART 3}<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200eText: Exodus 20:13 KJV \u201cThou shall not kill.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u200eCalvary greetings in the name of our lord and savior Jesus Christ. Grace and peace be multiplied to you in Jesus name. Amen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the beginning of this month, i started a conservation titled \u201cTHOU SHALL NOT KILL\u201d and in part (1), i shared that Man was created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27) and God can never take it lightly when you kill and destroy his image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Last week in part (2) i shared that the sin of killing or blood shed is not just a sin before God but an abominable sin before him according Proverbs 6:17-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today by God’s special grace, my emphasis will focus on suicide. Suicide is an intentional act of killing oneself. People who commit suicide most time do it simply because they are tired of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They do it because they feels that things are not changing any more. Suicide is a sign of giving up. They simply announces their giving up by killing themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From our anchored scripture for today, God’s command is very clear that you and I should not be involve in shedding of an innocent blood on earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This clearly mean that you and I have no permission on earth to take our lives. You cannot take what you don’t own. Life is a gift from God and he is the absolute creator and owner of our lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the book of I Samuel 31:3-5, the bible says that the battle was hot and heavy against Saul and he was wounded badly of the philistine. He asked his armor bearer to kill him but his armor bearer refused so King Saul fell upon his own sword and died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is very true that the battle was hot against him, it is true that that he had lost the battle but why didn’t he request his armor bearer to carry him out of that place. King Saul killed himself by falling upon his own sword.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In II Samuel 17:1-23, Ahithophel who was David’s counselor joined Absalom’s rebellion and gave a counsel on how King David can be defeated but because the Lord had purpose to defeat Absalom and his team, he never allow Ahithophel’s counsel to be considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ahithophel felt bad that his counsel was rejected so he went to his own city and put his house in order and hanged himself and died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ahithophel would have waited for the counsel of Hushai to really work out first. Even if it work out, there was no need for suicide. He was already a prominent and renowed counselor to King David.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His counsel was the best but God didn’t want his servant David to be defeated by his son Absalom, he didn’t allow Ahithophel’s counsel to be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can see some small issues why people kill themselves and this is to tell you that suicide is a spirit. How can someone kill himself because his counsel was not considered?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sometime, when you visit the house of a suicide victim. You wonder, what was the main reason why he killed himself. The man have a nice house, wonderful family, money, businesses, and connection. Suicide is a spirit. Today i pray for you that any spirit telling you to kill yourself is cast out of you in Jesus Name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beloved, no matter how bad the situation today, don’t take your life. Your life is a precious gift from God. You can not destroy a precious gift given to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I would encourage you to be like David who when he was faced by a serious situation, he encouraged himself in the Lord his God according to I Samuel 30:6. There are moments where no one will encourage you but you have to encourage yourself in the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our beloved father in the lord, Pastor Caesar Chile Udihrinwa, (Regional Pastor, Rccg North Africa 1) once said \u201ctrue children of God have a christian duty to always encourage themselves in the Lord\u201d and i totally agree with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are times where no one else can encourage you and those are times where you need to step in and encourage yourself in the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In our beloved nation South Sudan, the rate of suicide is high. There are a lot of people killing themselves every single day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I want to use this medium to tell you that no matter what happens in your life, don’t kill yourself. Those who kill themselves are murderers and they go straight to hell fire. Don’t go to hell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u200ePRAYER: Father, thank you for the precious life that you have given me in Jesus name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u200e<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u200eDECLARATION: I decree and declare that every spirit of suicide will leave you alone in Jesus name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u200e<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u200eALTAR CALL: If you want to surrender your life to Jesus, kindly repeat these prayer after me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u200e<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u200eDear, lord Jesus, I acknowledge that i am a sinner. Come into my life and make me a new person. Remove my name from the book of death and write my name in the book of life. Today I received you as my lord and saviour. Amen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
