 CES government denies grabbing church land

The Central Equatoria government has dismissed claims by the leadership of St. Stephen’s Parish Church that it intends to grab the land on which the church sits.
David Morbe Aquilino, State Minister of Housing, Land and Public Utilities, told journalists yesterday in Juba, that the State government has no intention of grabbing the church’s land but only carried out demarcation and allocation of plots in Hai Gezira Block 10, Munuki on the request of local residents.

Central Equatoria Authorities Destroy Illicit Alcohol

Authorities in Central Equatoria State have destroyed a significant quantity of banned alcoholic spirits seized during recent enforcement operations.
The public incineration took place in Rajaf Payam, Juba County, in line with a gubernatorial directive aimed at curbing the distribution of illicit alcohol.

Government to send delegation to U.S for bilateral talks

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation yesterday revealed plans to send a high-level delegation to Washington, to hold bilateral talks with the Trump administration in a bid to thaw relations with the United States which soured since outbreak of conflict in December 2013.
