Comic-Turned-Politician Majuetdit Picks Governorship Nomination Forms

Popular comedian-turned-politician Simon Ajonga Domasio, popularly known as Majuetdit, has picked nomination forms to contest for a governorship position of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State for upcoming December 2026 general elections.

Popular comedian-turned-politician Simon Ajonga Domasio, popularly known as Majuetdit, has picked nomination forms to contest for a governorship position of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State for upcoming December 2026 general elections.

Majuetdit is seeking Gubernatorial position through SPLM party ticket as he emerged as one of potential candidates.

“I respectfully submit my candidate to ensure you, the people of Mading Aweil, that I will work hand in hand to contribute and listen to your calls,” he said.

Majuetdit pledged to promote investment, expand irrigation, strengthen markets, and support farmers.

“Our product is supported with the proper planning, investment, irrigation, markets and farmer supports. Dear comrades, youths of Mading Aweil, we must become partners in development. Our women and mothers are meaningful opportunities.

He pledged to promote accountability and transparency in his administration, ensuring that public resources are used effectively to improve service delivery.

“Above all, public resources must remain to serve the public. There are some individuals when they come to the power, they own public employment, they own public resources as their assets,” he said.

“I will stand for accountability and leadership, responsible management of public resources, strengthen institutions and development that reaches our people.”

He pledged to create more opportunities for the youth and women of Mading Aweil, with the aim of improving their livelihoods and economic prospects.

“I will create opportunities for the youth, opportunity to mothers, opportunity to the orphans, opportunity to South Sudan. To see the kind of leadership we want.”

He said his mission is to build a peaceful, united, accountable, and economically productive Mading Aweil.

“My vision is to see our peaceful Madiing Aweil united, accountable, and economically productive Northern Bahr el Ghazal, for example, Aweil rice scheme my government will be a government of people where government exists to serve the people.”

Majuetdit pledged to work with traditional leaders, religious leaders, women, youth, political leaders, and communities to strengthen peace, reconciliation, and social harmony.

“Our children and young people are the future of Northern Bahr el Ghazal. We must create an environment where every child has access to quality education and where our young people have opportunities to develop their skills,” he said.

He pledged to strengthen health facilities, improve access to essential services, and work with partners to address the healthcare needs of local communities.
